Jennifer Brammer, MD

Professional Philosophy

We are not just treating the child, we are treating the entire family.  We cannot fully care for a child without a good understanding of their family life.

Education/Training

Undergrad:  Virginia Tech BS Biochemistry 2000
Medical School:  Marshall University School of Medicine 2004
Residency: University of Virginia 2004-2007, Chief Resident in Family Medicine 2006-2007

Board Certification

Board Eligible in Family Practice.

Special Interest

Family centered practice.  Having been trained in Family Practice, I think it is vital to have an understanding of the family dynamic.  Families have a tremendous impact on their child's daily activity levels, diet, as well as coping mechanisms and attitudes.  Often times, treating a child appropriately requires change throughout the family.

Personal Biography

Dr. Brammer grew up in West Virginia.  She is married to Glenn Brammer, MD, who is completing his cardiology training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.  They have 2 boys, Jackson and Eli.
