MyChart

We are excited to offer you a way to access your child's health and medical information through an online tool called MyChart.

With this convenient tool, you can remotely and securely do all of the following: e-mail the pediatricians and staff at Twin City Pediatrics directly to request prescription renewals, schedule appointments, view laboratory test results, see updated list of your child's diagnoses and medications, review their immunization records and growth charts.

Please be aware that our goal is to reply to all questions received via MyChart within 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday only) but any urgent concern should prompt a phone call to our office rather than a MyChart message.

MyChart is a communication tool that is relatively new to our practice.  MyChart is different from the Patient Portal we have had available since 2009.  Twin City Pediatrics plans to phase out the Patient Portal by December 2014 and offer the services listed above through MyChart.  We encourage all parents to register their children in MyChart (even if you already have a Patient Portal Account).

In order to access your child's health information, you will need to follow these instructions:

Step 1: How Do I Obtain "Proxy" Access to My Child's MyChart?

  1. Complete the "MyChart Proxy Request for Access" form
  2. Fax this form back to our Twin City Pediatrics office and await the MyChart Access letter which will contain your MyChart Access Code
  3. If your child is usually seen at the Clemmons office - fax to (336) 766-3691
  4. If your child is usually seen at the Maplewood office - fax to (336) 718-3998
  5. Once you receive your MyChart Access Code - you will need to sign up online (see Step 2).

Step 2: How Do I Sign Up for MyChart?

1.In your Internet browser, go to http://www.mynovant.org.

2.Click on the"I have an activation code."link under the New  User box.

3.Enter your MyChart Access Code exactly as it appears below. You will not need to use this code after you have completed the sign-up process. If you do not sign up before the expiration date, you must request a new code.

MyChart Access Code:(to be provided by your pediatrician's office)

4.Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number (xxxx) and Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy) as indicated and click Next. You will be taken to the next sign-up page.

5.Create a MyChart ID. This will be your MyChart login ID and cannot be changed, so think of one that is secure and easy to remember.

6.Createa MyChart password. You can change your password at any time.

7.Enter yourPassword Reset/Security Questionand Answer and click Next. This can be used at a later time if you forget your password.

8.Select your communication preference, and if applicable enter your e-mail address. You will receive e-mail notification when new information is available in MyChart by choosing to receive e-mail notifications and filling in your e-mail.

9.Click Sign In. You can now view your medical record.

Step 3: How Do I Access a Family Member's Account?

1.Select the account you want to access by clicking the name of the corresponding family member under the My Family's Record menu option on the left hand side of the page.  Note: if you see the statement "You do not have proxy access to any accounts." This means your pediatrician's office has not yet activated your account.  Try again in 24-48 hours and if you still do not see your children's names listed under "Family Member's Record" please call our office so we can check on the status of the proxy account.

2.You will see a disclaimer page letting you know that you will be viewing a family member's record. Review the disclaimer and then click Continue to proceed.

3.Once you switch to viewing a family member's record, you can navigate to MyChart pages the same way you do for yourself.

4.You can return to your own account by clicking the Return to My Record link.
