Electronic Postcard Email

We like sending you emails!  Our Electronic Postcard program allows us to send you administrative,      non-secure information by email.  Information about Flu Clinics and Sunscreen are examples of Electronic Postcards.  To sign up to receive these emails or to change your email address with us, please read the information and complete the forms within the following document, then fax them to us at 718-3998.

Online Patient Portal

We can communicate with you securely through our Online Patient Portal.  It is important to use a secure method when we are communicating with you about your child's specific medical needs and condition in order to protect your child's privacy and to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  Click here for more information about HIPAA http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/index.html. 

At Twin City Pediatrics, we are dedicated to providing this important means of communication.  Our Patient Portal is a work in progress.  Here's how it works...

When we have sent you a message through our Patient Portal, you will receive an email asking you to login and retrieve your message (like when your bank sends you an email to login to see your bank statement).  The message will come from patientservices@medfusion.net. 

Currently, we are using our Portal for the Following:

1. Pre-Check Up Messages:  We'll send you a message prior to your child's check up to give you information about your visit and instructions about filling out your forms online.
2. Filling out Check Up Forms Online!
3. Lab reports: We can send you lab reports online! 
4. Secure Messaging with your child's doctor:  Currently, we are using this feature for patients with certain conditions.  We are planning to expand this feature to all patients in the near future. 

In order to use our patient portal, you will need a Family Account.  A Family Account is configured by creating an account for the parent, then, within the parent account, creating accounts for patients.  Sound complicated?  It is - but once your account is configured correctly, the Patient Portal is very easy to use.  We ask you to login through your parent account and click on your child's name.  That way, we know who we are talking to, and who we are talking about.  If you have any difficulty creating an account or logging in to your account, please contact our Support Specialist.

Email Support is available at .  Email is answered daily between 10am and 3pm.

Phone Support is available Monday through Friday 10am-Noon and 1pm-3pm.  Call our main number at 718-3960 and ask for our Support Specialist.

Instructions for Creating an Account:

1. Visit our homepage at www.ShotsHurtLess.com and click on Patient Portal in the Upper Right Corner.
2. Click on "Create an Account" under "New User?"
3. Enter YOUR First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Zip Code, and email address.
4. Click on "Create My Account".
5. Fill in the remainder of this Electronic Form with YOUR (Parent) information.
6. Create a User ID and Password. Write this information down so you can log in to your account.
7. Choose and answer your secret question.
8. Acknowledge the Patient Privacy Information.
9. Click Join Novant – Twin City Pediatrics.
10. This will take you to My Patient Page. Click on "My Account" in the Upper Right Corner, then Click on "Family".
11. Click on "Create a Family Member".
12. Now, fill in information for your child under Patient First Name, Patient Last Name, Gender, Date of Birth. The relationship drop down box should say "Parent".
13. Scroll past Mailing Address, Contact Information, Login Information, and Account Preferences, as you should not need to edit those at this time.
14. Acknowledge the Patient Privacy Information.
15. Click Join Novant – Twin City Pediatrics.
16. Repeat Steps 10-15 for each additional child.

Online Appointment Scheduling

We invite you to schedule an appointment for our Quick-Sick Clinic Online by clicking on Make an Appointment for Quick-Sick Clinic  located in the left column of most pages within this site.  We are planning to expand our Online Scheduling to include Check Ups!
